I'm just about to put an aftermarket deck in my cougar. I bought a wiring harness for it, but when I pulled the deck out, there was a wire in a clip by itself. There was two big clips and one small clip with only one wire. The wirning harness didn't come with anything for this small clip. I'm just wondering what that wire is and where to splice it to on my aftermarket deck, or if it is even necessary on the aftermarket deck. Also can you just get an adapter for the radio antenna wire. I noticed that is not the same as the usually radio wire. Thanks

Have you ever rode in a car and noticed the radio get louder as you speed up? Well, i think that's what that wire is for. Just tuck it aside. You won't need it for the aftermarket head unit. And yes, they do make an adapter for your antenna. You can buy one at any radio shop. Hell, you can probably even get them at walmart.
