the color that I paint my interior pieces is very close to Laser Red.... its a mix of 2 colors layered over each other --- both by Duplicolor (Wild Strawberry and Cherry Metallic) end result is VERY close...
Another person on here told me that she layered Currant Red and Garnet Red and it was exact... again Duplicolor.. its simply the best you can use without taking it to the shop for a factory spray.....
Wow, thanks very much Crispy. i just check out the site www.paintscratch.com and they do have the Laser Red color in spray can and it only cost 25.00 each spray can. it way cheaper than the 150.00 in mercury body shop.
so just check it out and thanks for the mix match color idea.
You already figured out what my next plan is... I'm working on getting some better fabric which I could redo the doors in and then work it onto the seats... I was planning on doing it exactly as you mentioned... thats sorta funny how you were thinking the same as I was...
Damnit, there goes another idea that will look like I stole it.
I talked to a shop last week about having the grey part of my seats recovered in a red material, so I can match the same color to my door panels. Damn, if this keeps up I will end up having my interior look exactly like Cripsy's.
I do have a few other things up my sleeve yet so rest assured we will remain un-identical... but of course I can't guarentee that you won't like what I have planned... heh!
I recently had the seats reupholstered with yellow leather inserts instead of the solid black. My dash and a few other interior pieces are painted with Dupont Chromabase autopaint and clearcoat and those yellow accents on the doors are yellow neon wires which also run around the dash and in the back seat (40 feet altogether).
Thanks Crispy, only cost $280 and the back seats are done the same way although its hard to tell in the picture. There might be a better pic on my website (link is below). I am really happy with how they turned out.
HOLY **** MORPH
those seats are fvcking beautiful!!!
i was thinking about doing that on my 2001 seats to make them xr-like, but yellow... w0w!
yellow is the best color EVER
