Helping a person with her cougar from -99. We can't find anything that explains what the light is, it's in the same place as the low coolant indicator is.

Almost looks like it's supposed to be a water pump.

On 99-00 cars the coolant level sensor isn't very well calibrated, so it'll light the coolant light if it's at all below the max fill line. Try topping off the coolant and see if the light goes out.

ahhhhhhhh, i misunderstood the question lol.

my light was on all the time no matter how much coolant was in it. The sensor might be bad inside. I havent had time to properly fix it so i jumpered the plug with a fork wire connector in there to get the light to go off

Water pump or turbocharger. Weird.

I like this theory...That's the "Turbocharger not installed" light
It's the "Danger to the Turbocharger Manifold" light.

It's indeed the same symbol that appears on the boost gauge in my Focus ST. Why in heaven's name anyone would put one there is a mystery...

I'd google what the indicator lights mean for whatever that gauge face is for.

It looks like a Cougar…
Except the indicator and the chrome needle stop. Focus gauges are real similar through some years as far as how they look.
