How'd you manage that were you adjusting it and couldn't see then it popped.
Was installing new LEDS and when I took the unit out to clean it it was just sitting freely on top and the tabs were gone , checked recently and it was gone and the headlight internals where open so I just duct taped it close hahaHow'd you manage that were you adjusting it and couldn't see then it popped.
I 100% concur I just needed someone to keep the water out for the last couple days of university driving. Last time I used duct tape I learned how well it doesn’t hold up to UV. Covered my cracked spoiler with red tape and it was white in a week. (Tree fell on my cougar a year ago and landed an inch above the body work, so close to being totaled)Mine broke when I restored them too so I left it open until I can figure out a more permanent solution than duct tape no offense. I have taken that route before but want to do it right at this point. I'll probably end up making a bracket with a clip on the cover by drilling and cutting some holes.
For me it seems like everything in its power is trying to kill this car and it just refuses to die.You have about the same luck as me when it comes to this car it seems in terms of what goes wrong when you do something right.
I think most of my problems with windows, moonroofs and lights are all electrical related too. That liquid electrical tape doesn’t last long under heat cycles.Realistically the one thing I hate is the wiring coming loose. Later on down the one when I save enough I want to wire in a haltech and tune it that way
Was wonder if YellowsStuff was the best the cougar can get as that's all I can find. There surely the most expensive, found a set of 4 for 200$.Also - i'ts unbelievable how hard it is to find good brake pads for this platform. I would love to go more aggressive than YellowStuff but GOOD LUCK WITH THAT.
I wouldn't be opposed to trading my bigass Baer's for something more common if you thought you wanted them, I don't really want to go through the hassle of doing the work, but I could probably be talked into it...I don't need those monsters.
These are Corvette calipers. I don't really know where the rotors came from...maybe a Focus RS or something?
Project: Foundracer - Dedicated GT car build
There is always a need to drop 400$ dollars on Cougar parts ever week, its a perk of owning a funky car.28 lbs LOL.
I believe it, those rotors are beasts. On the flip side, they would swallow a lot of heat.
If this car ever gets "finished", I hope to someday swap them back to either Cougar or Focus brakes...I suppose some custom 2-piece rotors could be made but I have no need to drop that kind of money.
My project Cougar is supposed to be a true GT build. Mostly highway cruising with capability to handle the twisties when called upon. Cougar sport brakes are adequate for my needs, I would rather drop money on cosmetics or comfort than braking capability I'll never need. There is always a need to drop 400$ dollars on Cougar parts ever week, its a perk of owning a funky car.
