Are vacuum check valves necessary to keep boost pressure out of vacuum operated componants?.................such as the brake booster and the canister purge solenoid valve?

I have no idea. We just kept everything else plugged in and it doesn't seem to be negativley affecting it.

As far as I know these all have check valves that seal up on boost. The one critical component is your PCV valve, but the 1999-2002 SVT Mustang (S/C'd) has the exact same size PCV as us, so you can just put that one in.

As always, take my wisdom for what it's worth, I'm no mechanic.
