My roommate has a 95 ford probe GT. He is having issues to where his car will not start, almost as though the power is being shorted out.. There is some smoke coming from his engine bay and when we took a closer look, it looked as though there was some wires that are wrapped in what seems to be a thin tin foil. The wire going through the bundle is twisted with what I think is a ground (open wire without shielding...) and wrapped in that tin foil material...

Anyone heard of this and/or know any ideas?

Thin tin foil? Can you get a picture of that? It could have been the reminants of a tape or something that held them together, and has either deteriorated, or has burned off (that could be bad...)
