Historically it’s been said that those are not ideal because they aren’t crank dampers, and allow unwanted vibration into the crankshaft, accelerating bearing wear.

For my 3.0, I used lightened pulleys on the power steering and alternator, with a stock Mazda dual-mass crank damper.

I have been reading that, i figured most kits would be a PS, and alternator one. Been looking on the contour groups as well.

The PS/alternator pulley kit that most of us are using is from MN Autosport. They haven't been available for a LONG TIME now; only hope on that is to find some second-hand.

Funny you say that …..looking into the parts I have and I have a PS MN auto sport pulley . Finding an alternator one and I would be happy.

I hope you don't plan on having a stereo system though because it will not like it with the alternator input being much lower than stock. Don't know if ac is affected and if it's going to be a racecar.

Yeah I took out all my speakers to save weight, so obviously my stereo doesn't exist now either. I have a portable bluetooth unit with an FM receiver included that I can throw in the passenger's seat if I really need that kind of thing. Although honestly I did have the OEM stereo still installed on my old Roush and the voltage was never an issue; my gauge read normal 14v all the time, except for sometimes when I had the AC, stereo and headlights all on at idle, and it would drop until I brought the revs up a little. You obviously won't be bumping any subs, but stock sound system is no big deal.
