My dad is looking to buy an 85 vette with a richmond racing transmission 6-speed in it. The only problem is that the car does not always want to shift into 2nd gear. Question is what could be wrong with it? and how much do you think it would cost? From what the lady said it was recently put in.

my guess is either syncros or linkage. does it grind when it goes in?? or just hanging up?/

im not really sure im just on what i was told which was that it has problems going into 2nd and the owner right now says that it just needs to be adjusted. My dad is going to call richmond on mon and try to find out more and im asking on a vette forum. so Im basically trying to find out any and every thing that could cause that. and what it would cost to fix.

350 motor
nice paint good interior
glass top and hard top
lady owner that took care of the car
