Hey, anyone coming through Ohio on Thursday?

Frank, RJ, I'm looking in your direction?

Haven't decided when I'm hitting the road, but if anybody's passing through, that might help me decide.

I don't think Whitney and I will be making it this year. I travel the week of the 11th for work, so if we did decide to come last minute, we wouldn't leave until possibly Friday night.

I'm still in maybe territory, and also not sure if I would be driving the RV and towing the car or driving the car...If I'm driving the car I would be reaching I-70 at the Indiana border around 3:30. I'll post back here if that turns into reality.

I'm planning to leave DC Wednesday night and stop somewhere like Breezewood, then drive the rest of the way Thursday (it's just a bit farther than I want to do on one day). Plus it gets me out of the DC rush hour traffic. So I will be rolling through Columbus at some point Thursday. I haven't figured out when exactly, probably lunch time or just after.

Planning to do the same thing on the way home, too. I haven't figured out where I'll stop on the way home yet.

Edit. Looks like Columbus is 4 hours and 20 minutes from Breezewood. Add in some time for stops and say 5 hours. I'll probably hit the road around 7, so that puts me in Columbus around noon. If that fits with you, B3NN3TT, I would be interested in a sane caravan. :)

Noon sounds great! Kokomo is just a shade over 3 hours' drive from Columbus. so we will beat Indianapolis' rush hour as well.

We'll hash out the details soon. Thanks RJ!

Of course. There are dozens of places to choose from at the West Columbus rendezvous point we traditionally use.

Thursday caravan from the South, anyone?

We won't be going through Columbus, but if we hit the Indianapolis bypass at approximately the time you expect to, we'll join you. I'll text you when we get near, and find out if you're in the area.

We're coming from eastern TN on Thursday: I-75 N, I-275 W around Cincinnati, I-74W, I-465 N around Indianapolis,
Keystone Pkwy, US-31N...

We should be hitting 475 at about 3:30 or so; maybe a little bit sooner. 3:00 at the earliest. Definitely keep in touch!

By the way, are you driving that 3.0 this year, Marge?

Not driving the 3.0, only bringing Margaret's NiteCat.
