If anyone could offer me some insight here i'd appreciate it. I have a Black 99 V6, it is 5 speed w/ 46,400 miles.
It has leather and every option besides a sunroof. The only mods i've gotten to are Z3 fenders, clear sidemarkers, vtech tail light covers, a JL Audio 12inch sub and an Alpine V12 amp. I checked out values on a few websites but i'd still love some suggestions

you plan on keeping the amp and sub in there? Start the asking price at $10,000, cuz you know you'll be talked down about another thou or more.

i'm going to agree here. kelly blue book prices are not always accurate. the cougar does not have a good resale value

Rather then use a KBB, look online, even at eBaymotors... You'll see a slew of Cougars for sale at 5-6K...

I think it also depends on your area. Here Cougars are pretty popular and when you see them for sale its around the 10-14k range depending on year and options of course.

around here I see used 2002 cougars selling for as much as $16K. The '99s go from $6,500 to $11,500

I picked up a 99 recently with every option including the sunroof . . . 49k miles. . . . no warranty . . . new tires/brake . . . i got it for about $8500 out the door from a Chevy dealer . . . Hope that can help a little

trade in you will be raped.....i got 8k for mine after it was repaired from the concrete post......not bad if you ask me. I was happy with that and i think you should shoot for 10.

I was offered $5000 as a trade on a 04 Maxima on Sat. Sure thats kinds high for a trade in value...but they wouldnt come down on the Maxima at all. Obviously I didnt buy the Maxima. I guess they were trying to make up the difference in the price of the Maxima. If I were you I would get a couple trade in values and then sell it yourself.
