1º In Spain today it is highly penalized to go over 120km / h, even to overtake another vehicle.
2nd in Spain there are no races or events or circuits available to the driver looking for something more.
3rd Germany is beautiful and efficient.
4th If we have sun and beach but the minimum wage of most people who work in Spain is € 3.95 / hour (a few years ago it was almost half) and in Germany I think it is € 9.19 / hour and from that we have the Euro costs "almost" the same, everything in the whole euro zone
I start to think about money and everything else seems insignificant ...

Well, returning to the topic of maximum speed, I find the topic of 5th speed ratios very interesting, as well as gearboxes with a 6th gear to reduce gear, but I think it's a lot of work.

If I found a place to go over the legal speed limit I would like to do two things:

1st First, have a set of tires with more diameter like those of modern SUV cars, example: 205/55/18 which is 8.9% more = 20km / h more = + 245km / h

2º I know something about airplanes and aerodynamics and I know that to achieve this speed it is not necessary to have more CV, it is necessary to improve the aerodynamics a lot by facilitating air flow and reducing resistance or the front surface (the latter is more difficult)
And of course we are all going to think of a racing car but it is not necessary if you think of the toyota prius or prius + it has a CX of 0.26 and 0.24 and it is not small, but it has the lower fairings and the lines very smoothed, as well as deflectors, thin tires and a good rear air outlet, something easy to do in our cougar.

what is your tire size?
Currently 205/55 R16 on the Stock Polished Rims, but I got a set of 17" ST200 Wheels with 215/45 R17 waiting to go on the car once the paint is fixed.

215/50/16 = 622mm 225km/h a 6500rpm = 34,9km x 1000rpm 120km/h a 3450rpm
205/55/16 = 632 mm + 1,61% ok =238km/h a 6800 rpm
215/45/17 = 626 mm + 0.64% ok
215/50/17 = 648 mm + 4,18% no
225/45/17 = 634 mm + 1,93% ok
225/50/17 = 658 mm + 5,79% no = 250km/h a 6800rpm 120km/h a 3250rpm

I am thinking of saving my original 205/55/16 for the ITV and putting a larger measure to have the 5th longest
