ok, i was saving up for rims, and was shut down by the folks on spending $1500... so now i think i want to persue my dreams of having video screens and my xbox in my car. i was thinking screens up in the headrests... what would all be needed to do that to hook up my xbox to it and my sound system? (hardware)

also, does anybody have any other cool suggestions on little things i can do with my car now that i have a lil extra cash. (i still have stock speakers... i should replace those once i get my new headunit)

u could always get some small tweeters and that helps make the car surround sound,...**if they are placed right**

you could do some interior lighting or installing new LEDS

just some ideas**

painted dash...if you have the time or fiberglass **which isnt hard if you take your time**

replacing the factory speakers make s HUGE difference in SQ. also, if your going to have tvs and all, you should probably get some nice subs so when playing the video games you can feel more like you are "in the action". i havent played any game systems in a car, but i know if i play them in my basement with the full surround sound and bass kicked up, its soooo much better than listening to it from just a tv.

My car is full of little ideas. Boredom gets the best of me, I add stupid crap to my car all the time, but most of it is hidden away or just some LED's all over the place.
But my game system consist of a Ps2 and 1 5" LCD molded to the dash. Sounds pretty good and DVD's are nice to hear, forget actually seeing them too clearly. I had a half assed 7" portable DVD monitor plugged up in the back seat. It was bolted to the center console where the ash tray should be. But sadly it gave out after a few days. Too much tinkering with the video and power lines. Maybe ill actually buy a new one, then hell will freeze over for sure.

i love the a-pillar screen. but i kinda want it to be a little more hidden. im thinkin i might try to get a hold of an extra set of a-pillar cover pieces and see if i can 'glass a tweeter in each side, then paint em. what do you guys think about painting the plastic piece on the headliner with the lights and stuff?? im thinkin of gettin another one of those and painting it yellow too. and excelcier... i would love to change all my interior lights like you did, but i dont have near enough knowledge with electronics to get all the resistors and stuff right. also, i had a little typo in the first post, i said headrests... i meant visors for the screens. im also thinkin of making my dead buttons function, one for underbody neon and the other for interior neon. i think it'd be cool to have a dimmer dial for the interior neons.... anyone know how/if that could be done?? cuz i already have a bass-boost dial for my audiobahns down in my ashtray, and i think itd be cool to have another dial next to for dimming. and also, how about putting neons under the rear of the two front seats so that it glowed on the rear floor as well??

I have alot of pics of my car on sounddomain.com, but none are really recent. Most of my ideas ill keep in the car for a week, then change that one to something else. Nothing really that no one else has now. Im working on another sounddomain.com page of my most recent installs in other vehicles. So far I have 6 theature system completed cars which have all sorts of audio and video mods. Mostly of my closest friends which I have time to work on freely, all the rest are just simple deck and sub installs. The newest car finished is a 02 camry with a complete Pioneer DVD Theature System . Id rather watch movies in that car than at home. Next will be a 350Z, but hell if the cabin space can hide all the video components , amps and subs out of view.
