Did you try a cleaning disc? It almost seems like the eye is super dirty and it cant read the CD's.. either that or the eye could be scratched to hell or even busted..

nos - I never had any problems whatsoever with that deck. How was the packing material? Maybe it was damaged during shipping. I'll be happy to refund your money if you can't get it working. My only suggestions are to try other CDs and try running a cleaning disc through. I'm having email problems right now, so PM me or mail me at [email protected]. Really sorry it's not working for you
