St200 Mondeo air box

Has anyone used a st200 intake air box out of a Mondeo? After their SVT Intake conversions. Is there any gains or disadvantages vs the SVT Contour version? I kind of like the fact that I can still keep my K&N filter.

That just looks like a Cougar air box...except for the pipe coming off the bottom. We don't have that IIRC
It also has a velocity stack to smooth the air flow to the larger diameter intake.

Apart from the velocity stack it is.
Probably because it keeps the Intake Noises down quiter like the stock one.

Some has, but it’s still restricting. I have many ask this question and if you want a clean stock style set up the only option is the SVT contour air box setup. But they are hard to come by as many SVT contour people don’t want to get rid of them. You can use a custom setup or an aftermarket setup. I have a custom one made by someone one here but he doesn’t make them no more (GMK). But if you get the right piping anything is possible. Please see the attached picture. It goes into the fender well. There is a howto on here somewhere if you wanted to know how to install one. Good luck
