Does anyone know if it is possible to convert an atx cougar to a sport shifting trans. Similar to wat is found on the Hyundai Tiburon? If thats possible how much do you think that would cost?

"sportronic" shifting is stupid, just swap to a manual and be done with it if you want to do transmission work.

Tell that to the FIA World Rally drivers. The shiftronic units they use have solenoids capable of shifting through every gear, 1st thru 6th, and back down to 1st, faster than a manual could get from 1st to 2nd. Quoth that British commentator guy during this year's Ralleye Monte Carlo. That is assuming there's a person in the world capable of 6 taps and 6 pulls that fast :biggrin: (or not). One of these days manufacturing will catch up with technology and shiftronic will be the top performance choice for the street car as well.

what about that audi system on the new 6 cylinder TT......something like 3 clutches that pre-select the gears next to ur gear, even shifting from like 5 to 1st is somehow preselected, so it just transfers to that already preselected gear. and transfering takes like 50% less time then best traditional auto's or those semi-manuals.......at least that what jeremy clarkson said on his top gear for the audi TT

I was so about to say that. They shift quicker and more efficiently than manuals. And you can shift it manually, i mean, actually like a 5 speed. I so want that transmission. That thing hauls a** too.
