Alright, does anyone else have issues with their cat being home to 8 legged friends? My car seems to have a live-in population of spiders, who like to freak the crap out of me but spontaneously descending into my face from the visors or mirror while i'm on the highway, or simply crawling across the inside of the windshield. They are also on the outside of the car, and try to come in when I put down the window, and like it very much underneath the door handles. Not being a fan of them, I am really looking for a car friendly solution to this issue, because no matter how many get killed or tossed out the window they just keep coming back. HELP!

ORKIN!!! j/k

Go to the car wash and wash the entire car with the power washer.....under hood...under the body.....everywhere. Then vacuum the entire interior...even under seats, trunk, vents, under dash....all over. That might work till it gets cold.

Ahh Spiders! I don't have that problem . I mean once and awhile one might crawl across the car outside but thats it. Just wash the crap out of it, your cougar don't need scary ugly creatures crawling on it !
G
how long do you leave your car sitting?

I have a problem with daddy long legs in my car when I leave it days at a time in the garage.
haha i never had that problem . . . but my brother's stang does
I was driving down the interstate and saw a spider drop down it's string right below the rearview mirror. It lowered itself all the way down to the shifter and then it crawled back up behind the rearview...then it went between the headliner and the windshield. I see him ever once in awhile and can never kill it. It's about the size of a quarter...Kinda freaks me out.
I've found a couple in the trunk before, I hate them so much, I usually put them in a wad of paper, take them outside, spray bug crap thats inflamable on them and then lit a match.

it never sits....i guess i will have to clean and squish until they are gone for good. thanks for the replies everyone :)

:kick: if im not mistaken... that would be an oxymoron or else a complete waste of a match...

edit: added :kick:
Get the spiders in your garage killed and you won't have that problem anymore. ;)

smart. very smart. only one issue mike - how do i kill the spiders that live in my driveway?? ;)
Birds eat spiders, Fill your car with birds before you lock it up at night. That should solve the problem
Here in Iowa I am plagued with those damn japanese beetles, The little ricers are all over the inside of the car, if you squish em, they stink. And they will pinch the hell out of you if you don't. And by the way, birds won't even eat them.

lmfao. I'm sorry, I just read that and laughed for like 5 hours. I guess what I would do is a thorough cleaning...I would completely strip the car. Seats, the spare tire cover, the spare tire itself, and just clean it like hell. They might be living somewhere stupid like under your seat or in your spare tire and you don't even know it. I can't imagine what they would be thriving off of though, unless your car is also full of buggies for them to eat  After cleaning, maybe spray some kind of anti-arachnid spray in it?? I dunno.

Thanks for all the thoughts guys. No longer an issue: sold the coug, so whoever gets it will have the pleasure. Hopefully the new ride will be bug free, but if not I'll know where to start. :)
I have the same problem with spiders and my car sits in the street. I take it as a compliment, as spiders require extremely clean habitats to reside. They always show up in the fall. I just ignore them...winter is coming soon.

DUDE, i thought i was the only one with this problem. IT SUCKS!!!! SEND HELP!!!
I get the spider problem too when the car sits for a lengthly period of time.
I have the spider problem -- drop your headliner... I can guarantee you'll find their nest up there (I did, twice, in the past two years)
