I just won a set of smoked headlight covers off ebay for like 20 bucks . . . Anyone have any pics? . . . hahaha . . . i have never seen a cougar with those covers . . . can someone help me out?

I used to have them, but I got rid of them cuz they were a pain...I had to take them off when it got dark out because the headlights didn't shine bright enough through them.

Also, if you leave the covers on with the headlights, minor melting may occur.

here's my car with them. and the second pic shows the "minor melting"

right on the bubbles.. but you dont notice it if you dont look for it.

so thats why you may not want to run them with your headlights on

on a black car. i run mine with headlights on a lot and mine are ok:shrug: but im using aftermarket bulbs maybe thats why??

are these legal? do they dim the light at all? my mom's pt cruiser came with them, and they dimmed her headlights a lot, so she doesnt use them. are these the same way?

they do dim the lights quite a bit but on a well lit road its ok anyway and so far no hassle off the police....

yea that's another problem. with smoked covers you'll see all the chips and scratches from the rocks that come up off the highway and hit them.

I think they are okay for a fast and cheap mod. You can pick them up new for around $40 ( i got them for $30) and they just snap on. My brother has had a set on his mustang for the last two years . . . I think they still look awesome.
