My 2000 Cougar, V-6, ATX, 51,000 miles, seems to have a slightly faster then desirable idle. There are no problem lights showing, but it is annoying. Any ideas as to what is causing this, what to look for and fix? Thank you for your ideas.

Look for an air leak in the intake stream after the MAF sensor.
