I want to put new seats in my cougar, right now I have tan leather seats. I am looking for black leather seats. Something that is stock or close to it. Seatman has some great seats but shipping is a problem. So what other options do I have? Are there other cars out there i could find seats in or such? Thanks

you could get a katzkins leather seat kit and recover your stock seats. otherwise youll be looking at getting an aftermarket seat such as a spaco milano in leather. aftermarket seats need to have sliders added, as well as custom brackets. the milanos in leather are about 1200 bucks each + shipping+ brackets+ sliders. you could also try to find a set of leather seats from a totaled car, but youll still have to make brackets and or adaptors to use your stock mounts.

yeah, i talked to a (reputable, respected) shop about dying them but they said they wouldnt recommend it cause it just wouldnt hold up.

actually gave him a guarentee / warrenty that if it ever cracked, flaked, chipped or anything, they would take care of it and get him new seats :tongue:
so it would at least be worth a shot to go out and spend a few bucks to try, and if it doesnt work, you get new seats anyway
