Was at a party last night and some A$$hole smashed a beer bottle on my front windshield. Didn't crack the glass but they managed to scratch the hell out of it. Any ideas on how to get the scratches out. They don't seem to be that deep.

glass shops have stuff to repair scratches but nothing over the counter that i know of

second thought why is this guy not paying for it? i would give him 2 options

1. pay for a new windshield
2. I would feed him the glass from the broken beer bottle

I am thinking he would not like option 2

No clue who did it. I noticed it when I was leaving for the night. I'll see if I can locate a glass shop around here and see what they have to say.

With minor scratches in glass I've had a little bit of luck using steel wool and basically sanding down the glass a little. The steel wool didn't make any more scratches and blended the existing ones.

Does your insurance cover glass if it is broken as a result of vandalism? Smashing a beer bottle sounds like vandalism to me.
