the stick in the "R" position does not actiivate the lights properly. the lights come on only when i hold down the stick, forcing it to hit some trigger. but when i release the force, the lights go off. but i still can go reverse. is it a quick fix?

btw, i have another problem. check "trunk release failure."

its a stick. it just doesn't "connect" properly w/ a sensor.

btw, thanks for your strong empathy, but no need to use God's name in vain.

there is a reverse sensor in your tranny. it is pretty cheap. you could start with that
