Just thought I'd start a new thread and let everyone post their feelings about the meet.

I really wish there were more of us that had showed up, but this was good too, hell, I didnt' even think I'd be able to go, but I did.

I think Kenny and Keli were wronged in the judging, that Neon did not deserve 1st place at all, but either way, good job guys.

And good job Julie for hitting a 140 with your two 10's. That was a good job, we were all amazed.

Todd, man, ya should stayed longer, you coulda crammed in the Corsica with Julie, Sally (my G/F), Keli, and in the second round, Kenny.

Adrian it was nice meeting you, you're a cool guy, and yeah, there were some nice honey's there tonight. Sally said you tickled her when you talked to her on the phone, and she said it was cute that you got so excited about Taco Bell food.

Chas, can't leave you out, it was great to see you again, maybe we can head down there sometime in the future and chill for one weekend.

Lastly, Kenny/Bethany. I'm glad you guys came...Bethany, you gotta fix that wedgie...and Kenny, you shoulda tried to outdance that little kid. Sorry to hear you took 2nd, but oh well, maybe next time.

Everyone I hope you made it home ok, Keli, you gotta come post in this thread now.

Jason, you left Bethany out.. she was crammed too... That was fun.. having someone's nose, that you don't know, in your mouth is always a great experience!

Even though I thought the drive was NEVER going to end, it finally did.. I had so much fun today that I REALLY didn't want to leave. I love being around you people.. even the ones that weren't there today... I just get so excited.

Yeah.. I REALLY wish you would have stayed.. I was SO nervous.. I was shaking.. ask Chas I wish I could have gotten a better idea of what the scores were for the winners.. but I didn't. I REALLY thought he said 150 but I don't know for sure. It would have been fun to do it together Todd! Maybe next time!

Just wanted to say it was nice meeting most of you from the Carolina NECO team. I wish I would have brought my XR up there but i was riding with some friends from Totally Twisted Creations. That show was freaking awesome, and yes Keli and kenny should have beat that neon.

Btw, the FLOWMASTERS sound GREAT!

About the neon. I know the guy pretty well, he is really nice and so is everyone in his club, but I definitely don't think he should have placed over us...and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. If it were me judging, I'd have kenny, me and adrian in the top three. The neon was clean...had an unmolded kit, some rims, decent system and a full tweed interior...but come on...how can you beat flush molded sideskirts, my custom rims, kenny's 19's, kenny's sick molded vents and all the engine work he has done?? Plus, the gayest thing...his display included cotton around the wheels to simulate a burnout

anyways, I had tons of fun, I'm glad I came (I decided to go at 2am the previous night). It's always good to chill with you guys, we should hit up shows as a team more often. Ryan it was nice to meet you, I can't wait for you to start working on your car and getting it out at the shows. But if you do anything ricey I'm going to have to lay the smack down.

I guess we shoulda known we woulda been wronged, just by looking at the judges. How old were most of them?...and they didn't seem to know all that much about cars. They seemed much more interested in the Import scene, and I think that had something to do with the neon winning. No matter what the base name is of that car, I will still look at it as an import tuned car...if ya know what I mean.

And I agree with Keli's judging, that's how Chas and I said we woulda judged it. But oh well.

Next time my car will be CLEAN, I swear it, you can hold me to it. If it's not, then I will give everyone at the meet $20 apiece. (Look more incentive to come )

Yeah. I think Kennys and my car are pretty close. He's got some cool vents and more engine stuff, but I'm lower than him (MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA) and my side skirts give men boners, so come on. Plus he was missing his interior and he still beat me, looks like I need to rework my car some. lol jk. I'm fine with losing to Kenny but NOT A F*CKING NEON. But, that's what you get when you show. You are paying for someone else's opinion of your car, whether they like it or not, so ya really have no license to *****. I don't think I'm going to be showing for a while, I'm still miffed after the Hyperfest show at Lowe's (where I lost by 2 point's to a 16 year old's Daddy-paid yukon on 24's with a $15k audio install). When it comes down to it, showing is all about money. You can have all the original ideas in the world but if you don't have the money to do them, then oh well. Just look at James, how awesome his car is and he comes in 2nd all the time to that fugly ass cavalier. I really want to focus on performance now, and stop showing, bc face it, my opinion of the car is all that matters because I'm the one who drives it, dammit.

And ps Jason - when you show why not just wait til you get there to wash it? That's what I always do. Leave like 1-2 hours earlier and when I get to the destination city, stop at a gas station and find the nearest car wash. That way you arrive sparkly clean.

Yeah, I figure next meet, I will do one hell of a wash, polish, and wax the day (or a few day's before). Then arrive a few hours early and just spray off, and dry........that way I'm good to go.

And yeah, I just told Sally on the way home that I'm gonna start working on my looks (kinda opposite of Keli's plan) probably starting when I get my tax return. I'll probably get a body kit and new paint job, and I hope if I have enough, new rims. Then, I'm pretty sure my mom is gonna get me a Shed type of thing, so that when I work on my stuff I can have a place to do it. I have plans to get a 3.0 engine and an SVT contour engine, that way I can do the entire engine prep, and get that biotch ready to just drop in while still being able to drive my car. This way I learn a lot about our cars and I'll be able to fix stuff much easier.

Ok I'm kinda drunk so thios will be cool, everyone there was pretty cool, I never expected me to place really, I had some really messed up parts and well the judges knew what to look for, I love my coug but incomplete cars will lose out to complete cars, I think though had kenny had his interior completely done it would have been no contest. I should have thought twice about parking next to kellys car, maybe I should have parked on the other side of that honda haha...It was great meetinf everyone, zybo you guys are a trip, that was such an awesome time. Juli I think the judges tried to screw you over, and well jojolmnop it was great toi meet you too. Honeys were in abudance but I couldnt seem to get them to cvome over haha, Guess I should show up in a honda next time. But I cant wait to do this again and to have my car fixed can you say bags and spinners But I'm off now. Lata Oh and todd you should have stayed for the spl I saw the judges talking about your car when you were bumping your music, very very loud.

No, seriously. Since I don't know completely all that is involved in making the 2.5/3.0 hybrid, and I kinda need my car to drive Monday-Friday, then I'm gonna have long conversations with CougarGT (already been talking to him) and Kinger to get this done. I can use those 2 motors and get it all built and ready to drop in......then all I'd need is the few days to lift my motor/transmission and drop in the new one. See I'm just working smarter (and more expensive lol). I'm considering trying to find an extra MTX75 to work on too....but that's just plain dreaming right there.

Like I said....I'm gonna focus most of my money on cosmetics...body kit, paint job, rims, and lights galore....lol.

And yeah, Adrian, I think the only reason I entered my car in the show was because of the possibility of winning the group participation, but that didnt' work, so oh well.
