Trevor typed this up for me, and I thought I would post it here for later reference.

1) remove ashtray
2) remove cigarette lighter bezel
3) pull the shift boot retaining ring towards you and then up
4) pull up the shift boot to expose the shifter assymbly
5) using as TORX bit, remove the screw hold the reverse lock nub
6) remove the nub and replace the screw and tighten
7) replace everything and rejoice

This is a piece of cake and only takes about 5 minutes to do.

I haven't done it yet. That is straight from Trevor (FastCougar) I have to find some time this weekend to take the lockout out.

On a MTX you can't put it in reverse with out pulling up on the shifter. Not a big Deal, and a good safety precaution. I'll keep mine thanks!
