I'd like to change the LED/orange piece of plastic that tells me what gear I'm in...how do i get the shift plate off? I would think just unscrew that screw....is there anything else holding the knob on?
I don't know about that orange piece that indicates the gear...I was looking at it cuz I wanted to change it too, but the whole piece that holds it on is molded to the shift plate, and you'll have to crack it off and then mold it back on somehow...
On the plastic piece itself that is colored, you need to basically wedge the cover open, then make the change... most people destroy that bracket when creating a shift boot for it, anyway.
