Is their a complete how to on this? I would like to see how easy or difficult this is going to be. Removing the old and placing it with a new.

Personally, I would go with the Diamond plate floormats, they are tight as hell. But that is my opinion, do what you want to do and don't let anyone stop you!!

It is not hard at all, I removed my entire interior in about an hour. You only need to remove the front seats (12 bolts in total), the sill panels (just pull them up), and the center console. The hardest thing is the ac duct that runs from behind the center console to the under seat ducts. There is a bracket that you need to remove, but even that is just two screws.

Ive seen companies that sell pre-fit carpets for many cars. I dunno if they are available for cougars but they come in many colors. Check out a Sport Compact, Super Street, Import Tuner, or similar mag and they will be in there...somewhere. They are one piece (looks like it in pics anyway) and would be the easiest solution if available.
