I know that the bracket and the part it attaches to is weak and tears off sometimes. That's why they get boxed in but is it common for the bolts to break? Here is what happened. The passenger side bolt broke. I drilled it and replaced it. A few weeks later the drivers side broke. The bolts were really rusty but do they normally break when everything else is fine?

I don't believe that is a common problem. What kind of bolts are you using? I'd recommend grade 5 at minimum for the suspension and try to use grade 8 when I can (Lowes usually has a decent selection of both).

I guess that the 8 year old factory bolts got tired. They were very rusted and the poly didn't play nice... No worries though, replaced and better than ever!

Thanks!
