Heya, i have a base 2000 cougar 4cyl with the 5spd manual, and im trying to a rear disk brake conversion. I know the later models and higher trim levels had them, but i only got them up front... The rear drums dont work too well either. Just looking for what i need and where to find it, if there are threads about it already just let me know. Thanks!

I upgraded mine over a decade ago. Mine was a base model V6 with drums. I ended up getting brand new calipers. So you may want to look into that before upgrading. Especially now how old these cars are. You also may want to get the front sport caliper brackets so that u can run the bigger sport rotors.

Depending on how far you want to take it... Contour and Cougar - Kits

Todd is very helpful with any questions, and even though they aren't keeping the kits in stock they can still make everything to order.

I've also seen a couple Probes around with these and they offer options for the Cougar as well: 2002 - Mercury - Cougar | Coilovers | Big Brake Kits | Air Suspension - Ksport USA (Or I don't see the rear kit anymore...)
