hi guys,

I own a 1999 cougar and recently the backlight of the trip machine (the lcd screen below the tach) went out. any way to fix that or is that a whole cluster replacment?

i don't think you'll find that piece new, you can detach it from another used cluster or even get a new one, i recommend if you go to a junkyard to hit a cluster until cracking it, then you'll get a better price for it (just dont hit that lcd part)...

yea i figured it woulfd have to come down to that. oh well I am able to see it with the dash lights anyway so its not really a problem
