I want a key that says ford on it, so if i buy a blank and have it cut for my car will it work?

You may have a problem finding a Ford blank that works. i wanted a spare so i went to the Ford garage to get a spare cut and after looking for a while the guy realized they didn't have the right blank, so i went down the street to the Lincon/Mercury dealer and they cut one right away. Not saying you won't be able to get a Ford blank in our size, but you may have a problem.

Once it's cut and you give them about $20 then you program it yourself. Easy.

well i hope you don't mean an all metal key that says ford on it because that definitely won't work
but if you mean a key with black plastic that says ford on it that will because it has the chip inside that black plastic for the pats
but a blank key from a ford dealer should have a pats chip in it as well
so it's just about programming it
