A while back someone posted something on programming the car key yourself. Is that possible? The damn mercury dealer was tryin to charge $70 to do this. I had the key cut but I didn't program it yet.
I'd really love to save $70 for my mods.
Thanx for any input you ladies and gentlemen may have.

If you have two keys, you can program a third yourself. There are detailed instructions in your manual. If you don't have a manual, try registering at www.ownerconnection.com and from there you should be able to download one in pdf (adobe reader) format.

If however you only have one key, I think you are stuck paying the dealer. That's the price we have to pay for secured keys I guess. Sorry.

Cheers,
Scott.
