I just wanted to tell everyone to be careful, no matter what your doing. I just spent the last week visiting a friend in Hershey Medical Center. He ended up there because he was horsing around on a BMX bike and wasn't being careful. He ended up flipping the bike, landing on his head. The end resulf was 5 broken vertabrete in his back, 5 days in the hospital, the first 4 of which he couldn't move anything below his waist. The best case scenario for him right now is that he won't be allowed to do something as simple as shave for a month, driving a car is at least 3 months away - and those assume his bones heal correctly. If they don't he'll be having problems for over a year.

Please, just think about it when your messing around with ****. Is it worth saving 45 seconds by not being safe?

Sorry to hear about your friend. The motorcycle club I am in had about 10 riders go down this summer. Some were bruises and road rash. A few were a couple broken bones. One was severe, coma for 6 weeks and will never ride again. Luckily no one there died. But we had a few posts of other clubs losing riders. You just never think it going to happen to you. The way we ride when we get together, were bound to have an accident sooner or later. I need to learn how to slow down and take it easy. I have had a close call or two, but nothing to cause damage. Knock on wood!!

Wow looks like we are not the only ones who had a bad summer. We had over 15 bikes (including myself) went down this year--worst year ever. Thank goodness no one was hurt real bad--broken hand out of all of them. Out of the 15 bikes, 5 were totaled (including mine) and one was stolen (yep me again!) Hope next year is better...

The lady that cleans my parents house told me about some people being killed on their bikes this past week??? First I heard of it...anyone know what happened? Sorry to hear about it. Makes me glad that I don't have one....cause it probably would have been me. I like going fast too much...
