Anybody have good pics of LED underbody neon kits? I've heard good things and bad things about them, such as they are very bright, but since they are LEDs they don't give off a 'glow' under the car, more like a straight line of light. thanks.

do they really shine down a hard line of light like that? The light looks a lot more direct than ive seen with neon.

for the most part they really don't 'glow'. the light pretty much goes the direction the led's are pointed, thus creating the 'line'. however in pics the line seems to be a lot worse than it actually is. i mean, don't get me wrong, the line is noticeable in person, just not as bad. but the cool thing is that the light created with these is pretty intense, creating a more noticeable light. i like mine for the strobe effect, really cool when your drunk :)

cool thanks. so the good thing about the LEDs is that you can have different patterns of lighting and stuff, but they shine down a type of 'line' instead of glow. I'm torn.

Neons shine 360°, so if there were like a star shape of LED's around a centerpoint along the length instead of just one set pointing down it'd be more like Neon. or even if they frosted the inside of the casing so it diffused the light or something. Here's an idea, point them towards each other under the car so it reflects off of the undercarriage?

That is very correct NorCal. They need to diffuse the light given off by led's through a white transparent material. You won't get those 'hot-spots' then. Covering the bar of led's with a transparent white vinyl might help. I'm not 100% certain about that though.
