i have a 2001 cougar and i took out my orange front turn signal bulb and it says it is a 3757 so does my manual. I purchased a hyper white 3157 to put in its place but it wouldn't fit. How did every one else get their bulbs to fit .could some one please help me.

buy the 3757 not the 3157 and it will fit!!

you say just buy the 3757 bulbs. So where do you get them. No one here has heard of them in hyper white.

the 3157 is for the 99/00 model year.. I have heard that you can shave the bulb somehow and you can get it to fit... take a look at both bases of each bulb and compare... try it.. it's worked for others... and remember to wear gloves or lightly wipe your bulb off with rubbing alcohol if you touch it with your hands.. skin oils will ruin a bulbs life..

there are to things on the sides of the bulb, they look like little triangles, you can't miss them, just get some sand paper and sand them down so they are smooth with the rest of the base and they will pop right in....
