i was driving back from college on day, cincinnati to cleveland. and im speeding along doin maybe 80-90 the whole time. then 2 state troopers get on in front of me, so no one wants to pass them and we end up going 70-75. they drive for about 50 miles then take an exit, i decide to get in the fast lane and speed up right as i hit 85 i see a cop car in the left shoulder and 2 cops radaring from outside the car. one of them starts walking towards my lane and i crap my pants. he points right at the car behind me and tells him to pull over. at this point the feces is rolling down my leg. i know he radared me but didnt have a chance to tell me to pull over so he got the other guy. escaped another ticket, so im still clean.

ahhh... 71 I would believe? It's so hard NOT to speed! That's like a 5 hourish drive too. I normally do 75 and have seemed to be ok.. unless a bunch of other people are cruising. I've been w/ a couple other cars just cruising at 95 before!!! Cept all the other cars were much nicer (bmw 7 series, corvette, and some sweet looking audi

a radar detector is a BIG waste of money. I had a cobra 9400 and it worked always too late, I returned it and got my 95 bucks back. Plus, cops have no sympathy for people with them. my friend got pulled over with one, and the cop cracked a smart one, said "looks like that thing can't prevent this" and the cop hands him a ticket for 300 bucks. I'm still clean though:bowdown:

Probably had laser, i dont know if the escort picks that up. I have a valentine one. LOVE IT! during the summer, i was driving taking i-40. Going about 80mph, no other cars in my 2 lanes at all. my radar starts beeping KA, starts low and steadily gets higher. The road was hilly, and i was going up a slight hill. Then all of a sudden, all these oncoming cars keep flashing there lights. Im like okay, something must be up here. I slow to 50, and keep that speed, my radar goes off for atleast a 1.5 miles... a cop over the hill... my radar picked it up so far away, and before other cars started flashing at me. that thing has saved me so many times and counting. from now on that the only radar i will ever choose.

what do you mean he was telling cars to pull over? Was he standing on the side waving them to move over? or did he pull them over with his car? Because if someone was waving for me to pull over i would just say whatever and keep driving.... going 80mph its hard to read the license plate as its driving by.

Wow, i have an older cobra and i love the thing! It has saved my ass SO many times it isnt funny. But in the event i do get pulled over that thing gets ripped off my windshield so fast it isnt funny. Granted, the USMC stickers and dress blue cover in my rear hatch also get me out of just about any traffic violation i get pulled over for (aka 75 in a 50, 94 in a 70, and several other lesser offenses). Gotta love the military!
looks like you lucked out on that one, the passport shoulda picked it up even if he was runnin laser or pop mode.
Tx state troopers suck when they get someone with a radar detector. they made me crush my valentine, and they towed my buddies car when they couldn't get a reading cuz he had a jammer.
