Awlrightythen,

I think it would be very helpful for us as a chapter to know where our talents lie.
So, what can you do/have you done in the past that can help out your fellow Empire Members.
You know, like installed an exhaust, installed fenders, changed out an UIM....anything, no matter how seemingly trivial, I would like for you to list them.

So if you have any realm of expertise or experience in anything car related please list those talents here.
I think it would provide a very useful resource if we all knew who can do what?? And who may be able to help with projects and so on.

Thanks a lot Empire!

Let me see... specifically on my cougars.....
-> Spring/strut install
-> Intake/exhaust install
-> Alarm/stereo install (work in progress, as always)
-> Fenders/headlights
-> Oil change/fuel filters

Other vehicles...
-> Rebuilt transfer case (94 Jeep Grand Cheerokee)
-> Clutch job (94 Jeep Grand Cheerokee)
-> Replaced upper/lower intake manifold gaskets (90's T-bird)

Bascially, give me tools and beer - and stuff will get accoplished.

Oh yea, and any computer work - hence why I am involved with the web site. :)

-Nick

Edit: Oh yea, I think I've replaced a few alternators/belts too.

Lemme see here:

-> Relocation of ECU
-> Installation of Intake, Exhaust
-> Gutted Precats
-> Misc electrical work
-> Lighting, audio, alarm, sensors, etc.
-> A/F programming/interfacing
-> Standard Maintenence

Other vehicles:
-> Too much to list, early 90s GM (full engine overhaul), 86 T-bird (engine, exhaust, interior, electrical)

And as Nick said above, computers too :biggrin:

I know how to say "Daddy, will you change my oil?" "Daddy will you take my car to the tire place so they can rotate my tires?" "Daddy can you change my cabin air filter?" "Daddy can you change my rotors and pads?" (which was followed by "Um, Daddy, um, is that supposed to bend like that?" referring to the rear control arm my sister's fiance used as a jack point)

I also know how to say "No, Nick, you cannot touch my car" repeatedly

Thanks a lot for the HUGE response gang!
I will be compiling the multitude of skillz we have here in Empire...
...with hopes that we can put together a couple meets.

I would like to do, "How-To" Meets possibly :shrug:

What we would need:
--To know what people would like to learn to do. (Most likely make a poll to figure that one out)
--Someone willing to "teach" or demonstrate the "How-To"
--Someone who needs "something" done to their car
--Locations and Dates (I would like to try to organize 3-4 starting in late March, I'll need to gather some thoughts on that eventually too)

As for me and my skillz--
--Mostly car detailing skillz-- Washing, Polishing, Waxing and so on. Cleaning Rims, interior and so on.
--Some electrical, all of which I have learned from Upper90 in Keystone. I am getting better the more I practice but I am not that good yet.
Obviously my skillz are limited :cool:

So keep on coming Empire!
I am sure there are more of us that have skillz out there!
But so far, we got MAD SKILLZ! Way to go!

You scare me sometimes Nick.

I have put most of the info together as far as who's talent lies where, I will post it tonight (if possible) or tomorrow latest.

cue, Man you can be our official Empire Cook at meets, that'll definitely give you the opportunity to floss those culinary skillz!:thumbsup:

Dan (Hamill), Anytime you need some detail work and you are willing to pay for some grub, I will break out the "hella" Detailing Skillz!! Holla! :rofl:

Take care Empire! And again, these responses look promising! Keep 'em coming :bowdown:

Be careful what you say Curtis, or I might have to take you up on that too! :biggrin:

And I know i'm not from NY, but i'll list what i've done anyways:

- brakes (pads & rotors)
- tranny fluid
- spark plugs and wires
- intake install
- UIM/TB
- Kaminari Hood (what a pain in the ass that was!)
- Roush body kit w/ wing
- painted headlights

I think thats it.

I'd be willing to make it to some mod meets in NY, so long as its not more than a couple hour drive, or I have some place to crash for the night. ;)
