Modded Tail light covers (not sure if anyone has done this yet)

take a look at this:

still can't tell? here's a closer look:

yup, i just filled in the key hole it's not a big deal, but it gives it a lot more symmetry, and i like it

i thought about doing that wbefore i got my covers painted but instead i just bought a prepainted set from a member so alas no filled keyhole for me

seen that a week ago on another cougar... definitely nice.. my key worked when I had taillight covers..

Good job. I wanted to do that but the body shop ended up painting the tail light and forgot about smoothing that in.

they are your standard taillight covers, and i just filled it in with some fiberglass, and sanded the hell out of it until it was smooth and the contour matched...it took me the better part of the summer since i find sanding to be an extremely boring activity...i never sanded it for more than 2 minutes at a time :tongue:
