i was wondering if anyone out there has painted there stock front grill, i want to do mine and was wondering if anyone has any tips. also if someone has done this before did they have to primer it down before painting it. thanks

prep really well, take your time, prime really well, take your time, paint , take your time


yeah i used a hanger and hung the grill while i painted it. as for priming i did use a small coat of priming. then i use rustoleum silver as my paint cuz i wanted silver . did about 3 coats of that of , maybe 4 , i forgot, then i clear coated the crap out of it and i got a nice gray color to match the rest of my color. .

thanks for the advice, i'm painting mine today, if i have a chance i'll post a pic.

yup, hes right.

its just your basic painting job...

sand, prime, paint... i would even recommend a clear coat afterwards to protect the paint & all your hard work :)
