i just finished installing an amp to my front speakers (infinity kappa 6x8s) and it doesnt work. Im sure my ground's good and i have good power to the amp,, and that the amp is in fine working condition. the problem is when i turn my head unit on and the amp switches on the sound quality is horrible (like a mono am stereo) and it pops every 10 seconds or so and the power protect light comes on. i dont know what could be wrong. anyone....?

Check RCA's for cuts or pinched lines, check remote lead at both ends, then check for a peice of the power wire touching the frame of amp.
