Had my V6 for three weeks and have noticed a 'missing' when driving under normal conditions.(Feels like it has a spark plug acting up) When the car is driven hard the problem is not evident. My main Ford dealer says that their are no fault codes showing on the ECU. Anyone got any ideas ???

I think you need to better clarify the problem. Does the car shudder, hesitate or bog when you feel this?

Problem occurs when driving along a flat road at low revs. Car seems to hesitate and hold back.

How many miles on your car? Have you ever changed the fuel filter or intake filter?

You could check your plugs, but sounds like a clogged fuel filter or dying fuel pump.

Clogged Fuel filters tend to effect the car more when you are doing HARD acceleration, pulling a steep hill, etc.

Could be fuel pump or you may be having trouble with one or more injectors, run a car of injector fluid through the tank. It isn't much money and can help a lot.

Well, I took my car back to the dealers and they've traced the fault to a bare wire running to the alarm / immobiliser LED on the dash. Wire has been replaced and everything seems ok now (fingers crossed). Also the service manager has booked the car in on Friday to have the plugs and leads changed just incase..... Hope its sorted . Coug currently has 39,000 miles on it with full dealer history.
