I am still debating on getting a level 10 tranny, or going with the swap. Just wondering who has the level 10? The level 10 looks to be the easiest way to get better transmission performance. Just wondering if anyone has any feedback about the level 10 personally.

I heard of a cougar member with level ten who isn't on the boards, i believe it was GMK who rode with him and said the car was still far slower than a manual Cougar, if you got the time, money, skill to do it go with the SWAP. But all this was said after eating hundreds of pounds of mcdonalds trying to win that monopoly game so i may be mistaken in some names or events.

I was interested in the level 10 upgrades when I first heard about them. I guess in order to do a full tranny that you will see a difference on you are looking at a few thousand dollars in work. Also, I have read on this board that the CD4E doesn't respond too well to this mod. Level 10 doesn't even advertise it on their website. (Or at least they didn't... I haven't looked in a while.) It may not be worth the money. I would just go with the manual swap. It'll be cheaper with better results.

I put a level 10 tourqe converter in for a guy and drove the car... its still just as slow as before... almost no diffrence except $5xx less in his pocket.

He took a ride in my car a few weeks later... hed never rode in an mtx cougar. He wanted to cry.

hmm..the guy who did the 3L swap has an upgraded atx...not sure with what parts..but someone will know his name......(i'll go look for it)

I was at their website yesterday, and they do have a kit for specifically the CD4E. To be quite honest, i hate this transmission. I was thinking about Level 10's 4R70W transmission, or the Level 10 shiftronic. Its truly a mind boggling decision.

The Green cougar which was posted in ForSale to to recently has over 5grand in Level 10 work. (hes NOT selling it now though)

I raced him before his level 10...Smoked him bad.

I raced him with his Level 10 upgrades.. He beat me off the line...but I smoked him after 2nd gear.

It didnt feel anywhere as close to as powerful as an MTX. He did have a 50 shot of nitrous...But i doubt that would have saved him. He probably still would have lost.

yup, I gave up on this tranny a while back... I'm looking into mtx options now, either tranny swap, or trade in for an '02 dsg mtx... I'm leaning toward the latter
