I'm new to the driving scene and just got my Cougar. I live in Missouri and want to get a tint and want to find out what the legal tint is. Also are black-out tail and headlight covers illegal during the day? Thanks.

i dont know what the legal tint is all over mo but i do know that in the kansas city area it is 35% on driver and passenger window and anything goes for the back 3 windows. (rear, and back quarters) the best way to figure this out would be to talk to your local police department and i also dont know the rules for black outs. i used to have mine on my monte carlo and i got hassled all the time by the police. most of it depends on how strict the local cops are u can usually get away with most stuff if the cops arent all hardasses. mainly what im sayin is talk to a local police officer, they know best. sorry i couldnt help.

rbards is correct, its 35% drvr/pass and 5% back, rear, and eyebrow
u used to be able to get a prescription for 20% drvr/pass but they arent
buyin the photophobic excuse anymore, i still have 20% on mine but
im one of the rare few who actually have a light tolerance problem
