There's another post about Koni's and Tokicos a little bit below this one. But You don't adjust the struts to the springs, adjust them to your preference of ridw quality. Softest will be a little calmer, where the stiffest will be tight. On a front wheel drive car it's recommended to have the rear setting stiffer than the front. So you may want to try that. Probably the stiffest in the rear, and the middle setting in the front. That'sthe reason I like tokicos better, since the are 5way adjustibles, but I don't know if they are available on the cougar yet, but the Koni's are.

Konis are available for the cougar. Last I heard from CEG, the tokicos had been cancelled. SHox.com has the Konis for the cheapest

Check out my review on the NECO main page. I love my Koni's even after 20k pothole infested miles.

You might have to just request a quote. I didn't see the 99 cougar there either. Plus, you're in Toronto, right? If the CEG deal is not still going on, it might be cheaper to order from CTA Motorsports (Chris Wong)
