Hey guys, I'm usually from the dsm world.. but new here.. I'm looking into buying a 99 couger V6, I think it has the basic option like pw, pd, ps, pb, stuff like that no leather, or sunroof.. This car is in like premo shape, and only has 46,000 and the guy wants only 4 grand for it.. Its an Automatic though

What do I need to be aware of these car? is it easy to swap out a manuel tranny? and I was taking a look and reading up on those 3L motor swaps "the ones from the svt".. I read some where there a straight bolt up, but I'll do more research..

Do u guys think I should smash on this deal.. I need an daily driver, but even daily driver I like to spice up to my tasted a bit.. thanks guys

If you really want a MTX is usually alot cheaper to just buy one.
I have an ATX and they make good daily drivers, even when modded. So if your looking for a daily driver theres nothin wrong with an ATX if you want performance look towards the MTX.

Agreed ... at that milage its a more tha fair deal... for a slush box. With an atx swap you end up needing a different sub frame, thats hte biggest pain of it.

Sounds good to me... no sunroof means no trouble there. You could always browse the for sale ones here, and such as world-insight's show Cougar for 6500...

well we'll have to see the body condiction, but I already have a car for speed, I was thinking even though its a auto, I could put just some clean rims and a clean body kit on it just to cruise around and hits up spots.. My talon is a covette eater.. so we'll see.. thanks
