I figured this would be better posted in here . . . I'm getting an intermittant engine coolant temp light. It seems to come on and stay on when I start the car first thing in the morning, or after its been sitting for a while, but then go off if I shut the car off and then turn it back on after its warm.

Both of my temp guages are showing perfectly normal engine temperatures.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Or is it possible my engine is just being flaky?

Search the problem section. It is a common problem. If your coolant tank isn't filled to max fill it up a bit. Otherwise it is because you park on a hill and the coolant moves away from the sensor so the sensor thinks you are low on coolant. Not much you can do about it if that is the case.

That's not the coolant temp light. It is the Low coolant level warning. Fill your coolant tank to MAX and you should be good to go.
