anyway of making these brighter? im talking about the ones behind all the buttons. ie) window, door locks, A/C etc.

You could probably replace the dimmer pot, but you'd be risking frying the LEDs/lamps.

do a led conversion. there is a full howto on this. The leds ford uses are not very bright to start with and the white part on the switches just diffuses the light even more. If you get direct replacement leds (t1 size), it takes about 45 min to replace the 5 door and trunk release leds. As for the panel good look, noone's been able to figure that one out yet. I replace mine with blue and 3 other peoples at CF2k2 with red (all 2000+ mcd brightness) and they are plenty bright now...
