I have this bad hesitiation problem below 3k rpm. The car bucks and jerks bad. Once it is above 3k it runs like a champ! Problem had been around for a while and i just can't figure out what it is. I just put a new fuel pump and filter on and that did not solve it (the pump was going anyhow). I also have fresh plugs (Autolite DP) a new PCV Valve and my air cone is clean. I have also recently had a new IACV installed too (damn howing noise anyhow). I thought it might be a bad o2 but the check engine light has never even came on since i bought the car. I also haven't had it scanned. And for a little background my car has the 2.5 V6 (duh), monza cat back exhaust (problem was there before it), AEM short ram intake, and my car is a 5 speed. Oh yeah its also a 2000. ANy help from someone who has or had this problem would be great. thanx

yeah i know what your talkin about. mine does that sometimes. i have an 01 with the MTX and the 2.5. i have no engine mods yet but if i'm gettin on it hard just after i shift it bucks like that then takes off. but it's only if i'm like between 4000 and 6500 rpm's. i went to the dealership and they couldn't find anything and they couldn't get it to do it. so they did nothing.

There is a easy fix for the Howling Problem I'm not sure if you are saying you still have it or not?

Check you Maf sensor or ecu, it sounds like something is sending a false reading.

i am thinking that now...because i don't really feel them open. It only does it below 3k. It can be like 3001 RPMS, if i nail it to the floor it runs great, anything below that all i get is hesititation, no matter how hard i throttle. How can i check and see or get them "unstuck?"
