Hi im new to this forum and just bought a 00 cougar. Gorgeous car and I hope it wont give me a headache. So far the only thing that happens is when the car is cold and I put it into drive it hums from the engine. I see that the problem is IACV like every cougar forum points out. I just want to know where I can buy one online, and how hard is it to install one.

I just received mine in the mail today for $51 shipped from AutoPartsGiant.com... or you can get it for $64 at AutoZone..

should be pretty easy to install.. just two bolts by the intake manifold..

Or you can go to fordpartsonline.com and order one. It's under the emissions stuff, and I'm pretty sure I paid under both of those two quotes...and it's really easy to install, just two bolts out and a harness to unplug. The only frustrating thing is the bottom bolt, it's really difficult to get to.

Fordpartsonline charges $68-some-odd dollars right now. I'd go with Aries' source - sounds like the best deal.
