Hi guys just got a 99 Cougar V6 and i want to buy a chip for it but
i heard many guys have probs with it dont want to mess my car but i
sure want 10+ hp more in my car

can anyone help me on that topic
what is the best to buy quality/price and does it work fine ?

My recommedation is to develop a tuning program and stick to it. Set goals. Be realistic. Develop a budget and schedule. A chip is probably the worst ROI. Headers, Y-pipe, High flow cat with a good exhaust will get you about 15-30HP depending upon the goods. But you're talking over $1500 for an entry level setup. Be careful, pay attention to the tuners advice in these pages, and have fun with it. Well i've said enough for now. Others will have good opinions i am sure...later

Yea, chip should be the last thing you get. Basically a chip just helps get the most out of your mods. A chip alone will only raise your rev limiter, and you will show no gains from a chip alone.
