Okay, so this might sound like the dumbest thing in the world, but oh well. I am taking apart my interior because it is fixing to get painted and reupholtsered. I am going to be using balck and silver(brushed aluuminum) with black leather and suede, for the seats and headliner. The problem I am having is the stupid seatbelt bolts! I don't even cus, but they make me want to. I have the proper size ratchet but it keeps slipping off, and I don't want to do it to much or it will start strippping the head. I have tried the whole work it back and forth thing, and the whole tap it with a hammer to get it loosened, but nothing seems to be loosening it. Will the only way to get it off, be to go to a shop and use one of the big boy wrenches, so I can get enough torque? Please any help would be great, it is holding me up! Thanks NECO members, this is truly the best website/forum on the face of this earth!

however, if a penatrating lube is used... make sure that you clean the both the male and female part of the setup. you have to get all of that crap off of there, it would be a good idea to also check it once a week for about a month to make sure that it is staying tight...

I had to use a lube on mine, and it is holding fine just like it was before, i just cleaned it damn well with a lot of water and checked it every now and then!

it's just tough cuz it's got thread locker on it.. once you break it loose, it'll come right off.. be sure to use thread locker when you put it back on.. that's something you DON'T want to come loose at an inopportune moment..

ya I couldnt get those bolts off either. Then I found a massive impact wrench in my workshop. It turns lockthread into butter.
