I just got new front rotors, shaved rear rotors, ciramic pads on the front, and cheeper pads on the back (4 wheel disk). I had it done at Ollen Mont for $318. But now when ever I stop the front of the car dips. My rear brakes work with the E-brake. When I got home I tried to touch my rotors. The front ones were so hot you could cook off of them, and the rear you could touch with no problem. Could the back ones not be adjusted right? Should I take it back to them?

Your front brakes do most of the braking - so if you hit the brakes hard your car will take a nose dive... And it is natural for the rotor to be hot after a drive. I can't see how they could do it wrong - brakes are pretty straight forward. There isn't much that you can screw up. If it is really that bad though, take it back and have it checked out. Also, next time you are in need of brakes let me know... They are very easy to do and Id be happy to write up a how to for you. Most brake pads come with a lifetime warranty - so when they wear out you can get new ones for free. And if you catch them before they hit the warning tabs (the things that make the scraping metal on metal noise) you can get away with just turning the rotors instead of getting new ones - or just leaving the rotors alone. A brake job shouldn't cost you more than $50 a set. Paying over $300 is insane.

That sucks that I already paid the $300, but next time I'm going to do it myself. After driving it a while it doesn't seam to dip as bad. Maybe they just had to ware in. Thanks Steve for the info.
